29.2.2.3 To get + préposition


Il y a beaucoup d' expressions idiomatiques du genre to get + prépositon. On ne peut alors pas traduire en général par devenir. Il faut souvent changer complètement la structure de la phrase. Vous pouvez trouver autres constructions de ce genre dans le chapitre verbes avec prépositions.

away s' en aller They were looking for him, but he got away.

down (to business) parler sérieusement Let us get down to business.

into avoir des difficultés He got into trouble last night.
off descendre We got off the train at the last station.
